Andrew Bambridge, who has achondroplastic dwarfism, is an internationally-recognized multi-talented performer from New Jersey. His resume includes film, television, and awards for many areas in the performing arts. He is most well-known for playing "Young Eddie Plant" in the feature film "Pixels", produced by Happy Madison Productions and Columbia Pictures. Also, he is one of four winners of VSA's 30th Annual International Young Soloist Competition. Winning this, he got to perform at the Kennedy Center, and play for world-renowned artist Dame Evelyn Glennie.

Andrew's journey started when he took his first piano lesson at the age of six. When he was seven, he participated in a school musical, where he found his talents of singing and acting. He continued with his studies of piano and voice, and later on found his love of percussion.

After three years of studying percussion privately, Andrew auditioned for the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division, where he got accepted and continues to study there. He focuses on percussion at Precollege, but is also taking courses in composition and conducting.

Andrew Bambridge has performed with many other reputable ensembles. He first performed with the New Jersey Central Region Percussion Ensemble at the age of 10, and then was in the Symphonic Band the two years after. When he was 13, he performed with the Greater Princeton Wind Ensemble at Richardson Auditorium in Princeton University. Then in high school, he was accepted into the New Jersey All-State Mixed Choir twice, where they performed at New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s Prudential Hall.

Despite his busy academic and music practice schedule, Andrew makes time to share his talent with the community by participating in fundraisers such as the Jennie Haver Scholarship Foundation fundraiser, and the 100th birthday celebration of one of New Jersey’s finest educators and civic leaders, Ella Haver, recipient of the Special U.S. Congressional Recognition award and the foundation’s former chairman. Andrew has regularly volunteered at nursing homes, and at his local church teaching music to children at Vacation Bible School. He has also conducted an all-day music workshop for special needs children.

Andrew has big aspirations for developing his career. In college he wants to study composition and percussion, with a concentration in conducting. He also hopes to pursue acting as well, after having a great start to his career in the movie "Pixels".
