Mitch Wright was born in 1956 in Syracuse NY (USA) to a musical family. His Father played accordian / piano, his Mother played Violin. He says "All older five brothers also played various instruments. Music was always in the house."

When Mitch turned eight years old he expressed an interest in percussion teaching himself to play an older brothers Ludwig five piece drumset. When Mitch enrolled in grade 7 (middle school) he joined the symphonic band playing snare drum. Mitch went on to play all through his school years playing in the symphonic and marching bands on the snare drum. After graduating highschool Mitch joined his first Rock band called Zephyr, mostly a garage band that never made it into the bar scene.

At the age of 20, Mitch joined The United States Air Force as a fighter aircraft mechanic, where he served 20 years and six months. Three months prior to his fullfillment of military service, Mitch was blinded by a Terrorist Bombing @ Khobar Towers Saudi Arabia in June of 1996. Mitch found himself asking the question "what do I do now?" After much reflection Mitch decided to give music a "fulltime try".

Mitch says "It was a long hard road getting my playing into shape.". Mitch would practice 3 hours a day every other day for months before he went for his first audition. After three years and, many rejections Mitch finally heard the words he longed for It was just a "fill in" position with a band out of Ft. Walton Beach Florida called "Hurricane Alley" in 1999/2000.

After that Mitch landed a position with a Old/New Country Band called Runaway in 2001/2002, and in 2005 Mitch went on to play with an original country band out of Panama City, Florida called Emerald County Line.

Later in 2005 Mitch moved his family to Burnsville, North Carolina and joined a Southern Rock / Country Band called The Road Tripp Band where he played with that group until April of 2012. In May of 2012 Mitch left The Road Tripp Band and auditioned for The Sugar Daddy Band a veriety band out of Spruce Pine, North Carolina that plays covers from Aretha Franklin, Pink Floyd, Willy Nelson to Quiet Riot.
