Rachael Allen is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, artist and author from Parkville, Maryland USA, now living in Berkshire, England.

She began writing poetry and stories when she was nine years old, which she put to music when given a guitar at the age of 16. In high school, she joined the choir and travelled to New York with them, to perform at Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center. The choir also sang one evening with their local Symphony Orchestra.

Although she continued creating songs, Rachael was hindered from performing them in public due to an allergy to cigarette smoke in the local nightclubs. By the time non-smoking laws came into effect, she had already been diagnosed with Dysautonomia (malfunctioning nervous system), Orthostatic Intolerance (fainting), Chronic Myofascial Pain, Tremors, Degenerative Disc Disease, Beals Syndrome and vascular Ehlers Danlos. Becoming more housebound, she started writing a mystery novel which has now been published on Amazon.

In 2010, famous musician, Don Conoscenti, gave his permission for Rachael to sing his song "The Other Side" as a tribute to her mother who had just passed away. Rachael created a short video of photos to accompany the song and has it listed on her website Music page at: www.rachael-allen.com/Music.htm.

Rachael's dream is to finally get her songs recorded in a studio.

Currently, she is working on artwork to sell in the near future, to assist with buying the nutrition supplements she needs. She still plays guitar on her "good" days and is learning to record at home. You can find her music videos on YouTube.
