Sabrina is one of three girls to Noreen and John McKiernan. She is totally blind, living in Tralee co. Kerry Ireland. Sabrina says "The most important things in my life are my family, my faith, my good friends and my Guide Dog Basil".

As she says herself, "I love life" and you can hear this in her music.

Music has been in Sabrina’s life for as long as she can remember to the extent that when asked, she can’t remember a time when she was without music.

Sabrina says "I have been singing since a very young age. In those early years I remember my father introducing me to Country n Western music.

I also played pop music from the eighties on the record player. (even in those days I mastered the art of over-playing something).

My first introduction to singing in front of an audience was when I was seven or eight at a family gathering (and I've been hooked ever since). When I sing it is mmy soul, my spirit. It's like a light inside me switches on".

She describes music as "That personal friend who you go to when you are feeling down or need some solace. It’s so good for the soul and spirit".

As Sabrina grew up and as time went on, music became more and more prominent in her life. From school plays, to singing at family parties/weddings, to being part of various choirs. But it was in her teens that she began getting the musicians bug when she studied keyboard and voice with Kerry School of Music.

Over the years, Sabrina’s musical achievements have included: Singing with well known artists such as: Frances Black and the late Christie Hennessy and Performing as a Support act for Davy Arthur, Performing with Tralee Musical Society, Competing in competitions (both locally and nationally), Singing to support local groups such as the Red Cross.

With styles ranging from Irish Folk, Soul, Gospel, Popular, Classical to some Musical Theatre Sabrina prides herself on her diversity and ability to perform a myriad of genres.

2010 marked the well received release of Sabrina's debut album "I can see clearly now", with all proceeds going to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Sabrina’s preferred performances are weddings and other church events.

It is important to Sabrina that she is known as a singer who happens to be blind. Not a blind singer.
