Stephanie Poleson is from Sydney, Australia. She is a singer/front person. She also plays mouth organ, percussion and melodica. Her partner Ross plays guitar. They both play keyboards and uke.

Stephanie says "What started me playing music was a combination of growing up in a musical family, my brothers 60’s LPs, and a movie starring Bette Midler called The Rose"

She is currently working on recording and making videos of my original songs and putting them on her YouTube channel. Stephanie's duo has just had a name change and she is in the process of updating my social media links accordingly. Stephanie am also always on the lookout for new opportunities to perform, record etc.

When Stephanie is asked about gigs, she responds "I remember playing a bad gig at the Brush Park Bowling Club with my brother. We were booked to play blues and jazz, and the drunk and rowdy audience wanted AC/DC and Motörhead. Fortunately, I knew a few popular covers songs and the crowd liked us after that.

A funny gig experience happened when I worked as a go go dancer for a 1960’s show band called The British Invasion. While dancing, I had a spectacular costume malfunction and my dress fell off in front of all these old men in the audience. Their eyes were popping out of their heads".

Stephanie is inspired by vintage black soul music.

Stephanie says "One of my challenges is I get very tired and overwhelmed easily. My body goes into pain, so I often don’t feel well mentally or physically. This has limited the amount of times I can get out to play during the week. Ross, my duo partner also has health issues, so we make sure we don’t overbook ourselves or try to fit in more than what we can handle"..
