David Frangioni is a drummer from Boston, Massachusetts. He started playing the drums when he was 2 yrs old. He adds "After having been diagnosed with eye cancer and having my right eye removed, music was and is my refuge".

David is kept very busy working on many projects, running his companies Audio One & All Access IDA, writing two new books to be published by Insight Editions in 2018, the Frangioni Foundation and drum museum.

Having played lots of rough gigs in his life, David has played over 1000 shows between age 12-20 many of those shows in not-so-nice clubs, etc. He adds "I remember one show when I was 16, most of the show we played in the dark. We got off the stage and I said to the bass player 'I thought your girlfriend was running the light show tonight, they were off most of the set” He says to me, she was but we broke up just before we went on stage!'"

Inspiration for David comes from God, his family, close people in his inner circle that strengthen his faith. He adds "For drummers it is Carl Palmer is #1. Then Dave Weckl, Buddy Rich and my former teachers: Joe Morello, Louie Bellson, Alan Dawson, Les DeMerle, Rod Morgenstein. Along with Dom Famularo, Billy Cobham, Carmine Appice".

Having enough time to practice along with finding musicians to play live with, regularly is David's biggest challenge as a musician. He adds "Practice with live playing is the only path for me to achieve my musical goals. Non-Drumming related life can take up so much time that I have to be very disciplined and committed in order to overcome the challenge".
