Guy Mitchell is a bass player and guitarist from Newcastle, NSW in Australia. He was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease 3 years ago. His main influences are: Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan And Jeff Healy. He adds "My inspirational bass players are Tommy Shannon (SRV), Paul Wheeler ( Sunbury Aztecs) A Sydney bass player Rebecker Johnson".

There has been a few bands and a few highlights for Guy, but the biggest buzz for him is playing a corner pub on a hot Friday night pumping out the blues to an appreciative crowd.

Guy adds "I've done a few of my own songs over the years, but playing mainly blues covers, it's different every time you play it. Mostly do your own interpretation so their almost original".

Guy hasn't played in a band since being diagnosed with Parkinsons, but he is working on putting together a new project in around Newcastle. He adds "Start off with a 3 price, playing one Sunday arvo a month. See how I handle it. If I'm OK, add a female on vocals and keys".
