Richard West is a bass player born with Cerebral Palsy, from Perth in Western Australia. He is in his mid 40s and has been playing bass and a little guitar since he was 15. He started playing songs from bands such as U2, Hoodoo Gurus and ACDC then started writing songs.

His brother, Jeff taught him the basics, and his passion for bass grew from there.

Over the years Richard jammed with various bands with his brother around Perth.

His favourite bands are Foo Fighters, Probot, ACDC and Iron Maiden, and says Dave Grohl is one of his all time heros.

In 2015, Richard released his debut CD called A Moment In The Sun which contains 11 original songs written by Richaerd. The CD is available on Bandcamp.
