Ivan Riches is a disabled musician, multimedia/ installation, visual and sonic artist and a founding member of Eyesociation, a small collective of artists who collaborate to make multimedia artworks.

Ivan says "I also work with image in more traditional platforms like painting and film, as well as compose music and write poetry".

Since making music for the DPU (disability programmes unit) at the BBC, Ivan has been making music for his own films for almost 20 years.

Ivan adds "Currently I am a national associate artist with Drake Music". Recently in June 2015, Ivan became the the founder member of a 7 piece deaf and disabled electronic music group called Sonic Vistas.

He adds "I was initially funded by Arts Council England Grants for the arts, to set up Sonic Vistas as a music and visual art projection project for an ensemble of deaf and disabled musicians, Integrating audio, visuals & access via AMT (Assistive Music Technology) it has become a new, crossover art-form".

Their debut gig was at the Mayor of London's Liberty Festival 2015 on the 26th of July 2015. Part of that performance was captured by Channel 4 and shown as part of their National Paralympic Day programme aired on Saturday 2nd of August 2015.
